Online since 1999

The founders of Proviation have always been interested in aviation from boyhood dreams onwards. Proviation was originally called Skytec Aerospace which went live in July 1999. We operated a nifty website offering aircraft sales, club and school information, and general aviation news.

Founded in 2007

Nick Ross (not of BBC fame!) founded Proviation in 2007. Initially the website was designed to bring the best parts of professional flying to General Aviation; i.e. helping GA pilots, 'fly like a pro'. This idea came after seeing the 'Fly Like a Pro' series in Pilot Magazine. It featured tips, and safety advice. Our name 'Pro-Aviation (professional aviation) was born!

We then saw a gap in the market.

Proviation exists to provide the best flight equipment and pilot supplies in the world, to pilots and operators in the UK and internationally. Proviation Pilot Shop was established in March 2008 under a team of two!

We wanted to present flight equipment in a far more informative way, and bring new and innovative products to the marketplace. We'd provide better value than our rivals, and do more to inform and advise.

We see aviation as a lifestyle; hence we have developed a range of products to compliment each other and over all the bases.  This means we provide the most finely-honed range of the very best in aviation products, delivered with proven expertise, to our target market- the aviation consumer.

Proviation is run by pilots for pilots (although anyone is welcome to buy!), giving an edge of insight and expertise missing from other aviation supply companies.

This fact is combined with an approach to retail which has its roots in absolute paramount value for customers; reflected in superior customer service, the best aviation products and pilot supplies, and the best service expertise.

We now have a sales team  who will treat you with the utmost courtesy and an unrivalled and growing knowledge of our products. We're still small and personal, and so we will remember you and treat you with care.
